What's with the flashing red lights?

All night we saw flashing red lights. Police car? Aliens invading our bedroom?

With the weather warming up, we decided to get Desi a new pair of shoes. She is obsessed with Dora and her monkey friend. Sandals that have Dora and light up when you dance? Too much for my Happy Feet dancing fairy. These shoes have been on her ever since we arrived home, minus her naps. As soon as she woke up from her nap yesterday, she came into the living room with the saddest look on her face. "Wear Dora shoes?" she asks in her most pathetic voice. How can we resist. We let her wear her shoes to our hike because we know that we'll end up carrying her most of the way anyways.

Rules generally are shoes stay downstairs, but Cinderella wants to bring her shoes to the bedroom just in case she loses one shoe, or worse...the shoe bandit. So when its bedtime, off goes the shoes.
