Poor poor Bodhi

and blue is his favorite color.

The stitches

He has been singing, "Batman, batman, batman!" all day.

Toilet tank lid went smash....his left toe went slash. Three stitches.

Desmina can spell Jesus

"Mommy, I can spell Jesus! G-O-O-N-I-E-S!"

Gah, I love my kid!

Knock, knock

Who's there?
Bodhi
Bodhi who?
Bodhi eat *incoherent mumbles followed by giggling*

Bodhi and Mina are into knock knock jokes. That one was Bodhi's. Desmina's jokes are hit or miss.

Knock,knock
Who's there?
Banana
Banana who?
Knock knock
Who's there
Banana who?
Knock, know
Who's there?
Banana
Banana who?
Can I have a banana?

Desmina also loves cow jokes, thanks to her friend Eddie. Share your favorite cow joke with her. Hers is
Where do cows go on a date?
To the MOOOOvies.
She will also come up with the first half of the joke and expect people to finish it. So Desi wants to know, "Where do cows like to eat?"

A Mina funny

(and factoid)
Did you know that breastmilk can cure diaper rash? Yes, it's true. I have been using this remedy since M wss a baby.

Anyway poor B has a wicked diaper rash. Not sure if it's yeast or not. We tried diaper cream. That made it worst. So I resorted to the Mama's remedy. I also used a water/lavender oil solution to help kill the yeast if that's the case.

M says, "Mom I can spit on him. Maybe that will help."

Sunday Purge

This week I am working on getting the house back in order. Since I started working outside the home I found it hard to be a housekeeper, a mom and a direct care staff all at once. Something had to give. Guess which I chose?

I worked on their learning room. I only got rid of a set of trains, cloth blocks, a few cards, and one destroyed car ramp. But I figure if I get rid of a few objects from each room we'll have less junk. My name is Cynthia and I'm a pack rat. I'm a collector of junk. I'm sentimental and have a hard time getting rid of tokens of memories. These tokens end up piled and taking up space. I'm trying to change this.
Today was the learning room. Tomorrow will be my closet and maybe our bedroom.

Five months later

Fred now has a job! He will start next week. I will be back at home with the kids. Although I love what I'm doing now, my heart is with the kids. I have asked to be kept on their call list if they need someone to fill in over the weekends. I think we will start formally homeschooling Desmina. I have a few ideas up my sleeve.

Desmina says

A Different Perspective: Day 29

Datoo \da-TOO\
-noun
1. the act or practice of marking the skin with indelible patterns, pictures, legends, etc., by making punctures in it and inserting pigments. Or in my children's case markers.
2. a pattern, picture, legend, etc., so made.
3. Also known as a tattoo.

Inspired by his sister(didn't get pictures of hers before her bath). Desmina loves giving herself tattoos. And of course just my luck, so does Bodhi. I must admit, I think it's cute how he says tattoo.

Oh and I finally posted Day 21. Nothing spectacular. It has just been on the other camera for days.

A Different Perspective: Day 23

I know the pictures may be getting boring...I have this silly compulsion to continue to post until I reached my goal. I can't get it out of my head, especially since I did it in honor of Bodhi. Silly, I know. So just indulge me. :)

When I say jump

You say, "How high?"
Life upside down

I just thought this was a sweet picture.

The party

The cakes

and no this wasn't really on his cake. We would make parent of the year if it were though.

He ate the B off his name.

and most of the extra letters.

My parents decided to show up after all. I'm glad they did. My dad is great with the kids.

Bodhi totally dug the motorcycle. We could not get him off of it.
